My Thoughts On The Dark Knight Rises (Reply 1)
Regardless of your points, Bane is a lesser Batman villian to me. He was huge in the comics, that I know. I believe he might have been the first Batman villian? Regardless of your opinions, mine stay the same. This is a trilogy. 3 movies. 3 principle villians. There are so many creative villians in the series that I would have enjoyed seeing come to life. Bane is portayed (like every Batman character) multiple times, with multiple varying attributes. He’s pretty much a brute. His main power is strength? C’mon.. Another reason I do not approve of Bane is that his character does not bring much to the table that The Joker hasn’t already. As far as the trailer shows, Bane is smart, uses fear as power and has lots of goonies to do his bidding. Sounds like the Joker. He’s The Joker, but boring. I was hoping for something really fresh for this film and it just looks like The Dark Knight Again. I know Heath Ledger is dead. I used The Joker as an example of a repeat villian (already used in a Batman series). I know the character is done and I know the actor is dead. I am 20 years old, I didn’t read many comics as a kid because I was born after the 80’s. Sadly, comics were not very popular when I was young. I read and appreciate comics now. I have faith in Christopher Nolan and it feels almost impossible to doubt his choices after The Dark Knight but Anne Hathaway, to me, is a bad choice. Someone said she was screen tested with Christian against other actresses? That says something, but not much. She is physically weak and thin and as far as ANY Catwoman portrayal goes, Anne’s appears to be the lamest and laziest. They decided to leave her hair long. The suit is boring. I shrug when I think of Anne Hathaway as Catwoman. The Dark Knight excited me in every way. This movie bores me in every way thus far.
Like I said before guys, I’d like to be pleasantly surprised and really enjoy The Dark Knight Rises.
